"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

The purpose of the MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB on DA is to highlight the best work of MICHIGAN photographers on DA by showcasing their photographs taken within the state of Michigan. The goal is to give viewers a wide understanding of Michigan; our cities and rural places, our wilderness and lakeshores, our people and pastimes.
Anyone may join this site but only photographs taken within the state of Michigan of a person, place or thing recognizably "Michigan" will be accepted for our gallery. To submit photos for inclusion in our gallery you must "join" the site by putting MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPHY on your Watchlist. Only one submission per member per week will be admitted to our gallery. Once your first submission has been accepted you will be added to MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPHY Friends list and your avatar will appear on our front page as a contributing member. Submissions admitted will remain on the gallery for six months, when they may be dropped to allow sufficient gallery space for new submissions. Submissions thus dropped may be resubmitted by the photographer for inclusion in the gallery. It will become impracticable for members to be notified when the six months on a submission is up. A member may at anytime withdraw a submission from the gallery by sending a Note to MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPHY including the link to the particular submission as it appears on this site. Submissions cannot be resubmitted during the six months due to any editing the photographer might have done. This could become impossible for me, your lowly Administrator to keep up with.
To submit photos to this site send a Note with the link to the photograph to be submitted and a description of the photograph and where within Michigan it was taken. Be as specific as possible please. It may take a day or two for the submission to appear on our gallery. When it does it will be linked back to your gallery where visitors may comment and fav as they choose. NO comments or favs on MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPHY please! DA is very strict about such things and I have no intention of running foul of the rules. See DA FAQ216
Beyond these considerations, this is your gallery. We are here to showcase your best Michigan oriented photographs and increase traffic on your site.
I think these are all just absolutely beautiful pictures! I am from Northern Michigan, but currently staying in Florida to help my sister and brother in law out...and seeing these pictures reminds me of back home, and makes the anticipation of getting back there that much greater! Keep up the wonderful photograpy!!
Okay, so I'm gonna submit. Exciting.. hope this isn't going to be too much work for you. I guess one a week is okay for now unless traffic gets to heavy.
